Account Deletion

This page explains how to permanently delete your Oiko account and associated data.

How to delete your account in the app

Open the Oiko app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
Go to Settings → Profile.
Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete account.
Complete re-authentication (password or provider sign-in) when prompted.
Type DELETE to confirm permanent deletion.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What data is deleted

Your account record and authentication profile.
Your profile data stored by Oiko.
Your app data associated with your user account in Oiko services (for example, personal receipts, lists, and settings).
Your membership in shared households (you will be removed; shared household data may remain for other members).
User-scoped tokens and entitlement records used for app operation.

What data may be retained

Oiko does not retain your account for continued app access after deletion. Limited technical records may be retained only where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or financial/audit obligations.

Deletion timeline

Deletion is requested immediately from within the app once confirmed. Backend processing generally occurs right away, but some systems may take a short time to fully propagate.
